Drum & Percussion Lessons

History & Experience

• I've been playing, performing and teaching drums and percussion for a little over 17 years
• I received my Bachelor of Music Degree with emphasis in Recording Technologies and Percussion from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in May 2000
• Since then I've performed with numerous bands and at numerous memorable events including:
  • The Marimba Festival Orchestra - the world's largest marimba ensemble performance
  • The Racine Kilties Drum & Bugles Corps. - 1997, we won the DCM Championship that year
  • The Sound and the Fury - an amazingly talented bunch of guys living the dream
• I have performed live, including internationally, upwards of 450 times in the past 5 years
• I'm currently performing with an area blues band and am playing other various gigs for hire

Teaching Philosophy

• Playing your instrument should be fun and rewarding!!
• I'll help you to learn the types of styles, rhythms, songs and music that YOU want to learn
• Let's set a goal for you of performing what your learning in your lessons in a live environment to showcase your hard work
• Don't stop there! I've been performing for 17 years and -I- still take lessons
